Flowers came first.
Working with blooms is a trade passed down through my Dutch ancestory—hands-on, seasonal, and grounded in care I started picking flowers as a kid and started my career in floristry when I finished school to pay for uni.
Ruby Soho Flowers is built on respect for the land, slow growing, and marking life’s moments with beauty, whether they’re joyful, tender, or bittersweet. Life, death and love are my words biggest passions.
Music followed.
Once this country gal found the Melbourne rock ’n’ roll scene she never left, I cut my teeth playing loud, honest songs in bands Lakota Noker, Bunny Monroe, LOOBS, Modesty, Bitch Diesel, Frank and on my own as Ruby Soho. My music carries the same values as my flowers: truth, grit, and feeling over polish.
Together, flowers and music are how I tell stories—rooted in history, shaped by community, and always made by hand.
